What we collect
Velvet Rope has no accounts, no sign-up forms and no comment sections, so we never ask for your name, email or any other personal details.
Hosting. Our host, Netlify, processes basic technical information such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. Every website works this way.
Visitor statistics. We may use privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics that count visits and popular pages without identifying you or following you to other sites.
Your device. Your browser keeps three small notes in its local storage: that you’ve confirmed you’re 18 or older, whether you’ve switched on the plain tab, and which of two button labels you see (we’re testing which one reads better). Until you close the browser, it also remembers that the opening animation has played, and, on a phone, that you closed the bar at the bottom of the screen. These notes stay on your device, and clearing this site’s data in your browser removes them. The button test also adds a letter to our affiliate links’ labels, so we can count which label works. It says nothing about you.
Links to other sites
When you click through to Chaturbate, you leave this site and Chaturbate’s own privacy policy applies. Our affiliate links carry our affiliate code and a label for the page you clicked from, so a commission can be credited to us. They contain nothing personal about you.
Your rights
If you’re in the EU, the UK or anywhere else with data protection laws, you have rights over your personal data, including access and deletion. Since we hold nothing beyond the hosting logs and anonymous visit counts described above, there’s usually nothing to hand over, but you can always ask.
